In the spring of 2004, I made a commitment to myself to become a healthy and fit individual. With a high stress level job, marching band director, and several community projects, a new fiancée, an upcoming wedding, and two kids in college, I´d say that my plate was a little full. I was helping everyone else except myself. The end result was 45 extra lbs. and a very out of shape body. I didn´t feel good about myself at all. Eight years ago, I bought the Kathy Smith walk-fit tapes and had great success. So I tried it again. In almost four months, I have lost 20 lbs. and am focused on the next 20. I bought additional tapes, The Lean Walk Series and I love them. Being a marching band director, I love the way the workout is planned to be in sync with the music. Whether it’s a 30 or 60 minute walk, the workout is tremendous. This fall when marching band begins, we are adding a half hour "walk for fitness" plan to encourage fitness within the band program. In my own workout, I have added several abdominal exercises for toning. The next challenge is to lose 20lbs. more and maintain a workout program during a busy schedule. I can´t wait to get started!!

I have three children: a son, now age 8, and a twin son and daughter, now age 6. When my twins were 3 years old, people continued to ask me when my next baby was due. Trust me, after having twins on top of another, I was done having children. It was then that I decided to do something about my weight. I joined Weight Watchers and am proud to say that I reached my lifetime goal two years ago and have kept off the 96 pounds that I had lost. But it wasn´t diet alone that helped me lose the weight and now keep it off. After losing 85 pounds, I knew I needed to add in exercise. I tried the usual treadmill and exercise bicycle, but didn´t enjoy it and was bored. My sister-in-law sent me a Walk Away the Pounds video of Leslie Sansone´s and I fell in love with it. It was only one mile, but I was soon rewinding it two and three times to expand my work out. My husband then got me the best Christmas present ever - the three-mile set of her Walk Away the Pounds program with the 2 pound weighted balls, plus the three-mile set for the Abs. I still am loving it after all this time!!! I then splurged on myself and got the Walk Away the Pounds Express- 4 mile Super Challenge and 2 mile Walk Strong tapes. And I can´t get enough. I just ordered another tape and am always looking forward to more. Mixing up my workouts and trying the different moves with the stretchy band, ab belt and weights help to tone the all the areas that need so much attention after losing as much weight as I have. I can´t credit Leslie Sansone enough for her terrific videos, walking program, and enthusiasm. I truly enjoy exercise and have finally found something I love and can live with!

Hi, this isn’t a story about me. It’s about my mom. She was very over weight and never wanted to do anything. I tried getting her to walk with me to church on Sundays, since it was only a couple blocks away, yet she wouldn’t. Then one summer she went to visit my aunts in Pittsburgh and she started this low calorie diet with my aunt. Along with the diet she started walking. It’s been 2 years since she started the diet and walking and she´s still doing it. She has lost a lot of weight and now that she lost weight, I’ve gained it from having a baby. Now I’m trying a weight loss diet to try and lose the pounds. I just started so I really haven’t lost any weight yet. I’m am so proud of my mom and that she is still losing the weight. It’s good to see that she is getting out of the house. I just got one of your walking plan books with the 8 week walkers plan and diet. And the stories in there are so moving that I felt that I should do something about my weight and get walking. I walk twice a day morning and evening. It feels really good to walk. I’ve been walking for about 4 weeks or so and I’m feelingb A lot better about myself. I hope that who ever reads this will feel the same way I do about walking. It is so great to get out and see the world around you. It’s beautiful! -Kathie

Sept. 2003, found me with a genetic heart problem and weighing 277lbs @ only 5´3" 1/2. I was sick of me. So I joined TOPS and one of my tenants gave me the 3 pack of video tapes of Leslie’s walking workouts. Today I use the tapes at least 5 days a week and I have lost 78 1/2 lbs. I’m not to goal yet, but almost with Leslie in front of me!!

November 2003, I had a doctor´s appointment. When I stepped on the scale I was so embarrassed at the weight that I had gained. I knew I gained weight but I did not realize it was that much. I weighed more than I had ever weighed, even during the pregnancy of my three children. I made up in my mind that day that I was not going to gain another pound. On December 5, 2003 I began my regimen with Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away The Pounds. It was the holidays and my family did not take me serious at all. I purchased walk a way the pounds about a year before but never got serious enough to "start". After much consideration and knowing it was winter time in Savannah, GA, I felt I needed to do something - so I "started". I began with the one mile walk just to get started. After a week I needed more challenge so I went to the 2 mile walk. It began to be fun - I was home in my family room and I was walking! After a while I needed more challenge so I began the three mile walk. As of today - 6 months later I have gone from 205 lbs wearing a size 18 and some 16W to 168- a size 12-14. I feel great! I still do 6-9 miles per week. My husband and children cheer me on and everyone wants to know my secret! Thanks Leslie! P.S. I have walked away the pounds with the ab belt until I have worn it out - time to order a new one - can´t stop now!!!

When I retired from nursing 3 years ago I slowly began gaining weight. I have always been careful about my diet- eating heart healthy but due to a combination of family problems, I stopped exercising and watching my diet. For years I had jogged because it was the fastest way to burn the calories. I knew though it would eventually cause joint problems. When I saw the power belt on the Walker´s Warehouse web site, I thought maybe I could still burn the most calories, build upper body strength and save the wear and tear on my joints. I ordered one and it is everything promised and more!! At least 5 days a week I put on a pedometer, my power belt (I´m up to level 3),a CD player w/ Kathy Smith walking CD´s and walk 2-3 miles. I have lost 20 pounds and have more upper body strength than ever. After trying many gadgets over the years this combination if one that I think will last. With the pedometer I can make sure I get at least 10,000 steps in a day and with the power belt I know I am getting the most out of my walks.
