Don't Buy MBT Shoes Until You Read This Notice

Because many of the retailers listed in the sponsored results are not authorized resellers, it is left to you to know what retailers you can trust.

2. About and Contact Information. The vast majority of these sites do not have any "about us" or contact information about the company other than a free gmail email address for customer service. Reputable retailers like Walker's Warehouse list their physical address on the web site along with multiple methods to contact customer service such as email, live chat or a toll free telephone number. Reputable sites also post detailed information about their customer service policies and will use contact email addresses associated with their domain and store name. They will not use email addresses from free email providers.

3. Privacy Information. Many of these sites either lack a privacy policy or they have one that lacks important information such as a physical location or a way to contact the company.

Buying from an online retailer without a physical address, contact information, customer service policies or privacy policy can make for a difficult customer service experience at best and at worst is an open invitation to identity theft.

If you buy a pair of MBT shoes from these retailers and they do not fit or they are damaged, what do you do? You can send an email to their customer service, but you have no idea where they are located or whether they will respond. If they do respond, the cost of sending them back to China or some other foreign locale will be expensive. Also, since these companies are outside the U.S., you have little recourse for a refund or exchange if they do not respond.

Because many of these sites are based outside the reach of American law and are run by people engaged in criminal activity, entering your credit card information into such a site becomes a dicey proposition at best and you could  become a victim of financial fraud if they sell your credit card information to others.
